Any unicyclists who can ride freely ('stay upright') are welcome to participate. However, if you wish to participate in the workshops then either ACTURS or AUS membership will be required for insurance purposes. |

What
These workshops are intended to introduce unicyclists to mountain unicycling.
Where
The workshops will be based at the bottom of Stromlo Forest Park (Mt. Stromlo) and will use some firetrails and a short bit of single track to introduce riders to off road riding over firetrail, small uphill sections, small downhill sections, small rocky sections, and possibly small mud sections. The total course is estimated to be just under 1km.

Prerequisites
Riders intending on participating should be able to ride freely (ie. without needing to hold on to something). The ability to free mount (mount without holding on to something) would be beneficial, but not necessary (in which case bringing a broom handle or a long enough stick with you may be an idea, to help you mount).
When
The workshops will run from 18:30 - 20:00 on Wednesdays, with the first one being held on Wed 04th Jan 2012, and the last one being held on Wed 01st Feb 2012 (five in total). The meeting place for the workshops will be the Stromlo Forest Park 'Event Centre' (big covered concrete area with tables, across the road from the dirt carpark at the end of the main entrance road).
Cost
A donation of $2 per participant per session would be appreciated, to help cover my costs in getting out there.
Also, if you are neither an ACTURS member nor an AUS member, you will need to join (one or the other) if you wish to participate. This is required for insurance reasons.
ACTURS membership (per school term): $60 (individual) / $100 (family)
AUS temporary (3 months and excluding UniNats): $10
AUS full (1 year): $25
