Learning Mountain Unicycling Workshop #4
The fourth in the Learning Mountain Unicycling workshop series.
Safety Gear
Hand and knee protection is recommended. You are reasonably likely to end up on your hands and knees.
Helmets are also recommended due to the potential seriousness of head injuries, and especially considering we will be practising riding over rocks in this session!
Format change
I'd like to try changing the format of the workshops so that we start by practising a particular skill(s), with a bit of a discussion on tips/technique, then do a shorter ride to practise/reinforce general off-road riding.
We will try to use sections around The Playground for the skills training so that riders who complete this earlier than other riders, can ride on to The Playground and practise general riding on the loops around there, or try out the skinnys and see-saws.
Donation/Cost
I'd appreciate it if all riders could pay the $2 donation, as it isn't fair on those that do pay if some riders don't. That was probably bad wording (and possibly bad communication) on my part, so I'd like to change it from a $2 donation, to a $2 cost.
Learning Mountain Unicycling guide
Also, if you are participating in the workshops and would like a draft copy of my Learning Mountain Unicycling guide and don't know how to get it, let me know.
Weather
For once, the weather isn't looking too bad this week!
